Marion Lee Wentz, 69,  born on April 8, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Paul Henry Wentz and Rosa Lee Reese Wentz, gracefully passed away on July 10, 2025, in Douglas County. Known for his dedicated work in land management, Marion was a respected figure in his community, where he dedicated his skills and passion to nurturing and sustaining the natural environment.

Marion's life was characterized by his love for the outdoors, which manifested through his hobbies and interests in hunting, fishing, and trapping. These pursuits not only brought him joy but also served as a means to connect with nature and family, forging cherished memories that will be long remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Becky Wentz of McDonough; nephews and their spouses, Brian and Marissa Wentz of Barnesville; and Todd and Jody Wentz of Locust Grove; nieces and their spouses, Kara and Joshua Cole of Newnan, and Amy and Brian Nix of McDonough, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Marion's family finds comfort in the strong bonds they shared, and they will carry forward his legacy of love for the outdoors and kindness to others.

Marion was preceded in death by his brother, Hal Wentz. His memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family, who will honor his life and legacy in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2025, at Pinecrest Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia. The family invites all who knew Marion to join them in commemorating his enduring spirit and the positive impact he made on those around him. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.

Marion Lee Wentz will be remembered not only for his contributions to land management but also for his unwavering dedication to family and the natural world he loved so dearly.
