Mrs. Marjorie Ann Wingfield Post, age 58 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was born March 27, 1963 in Marietta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Roy Lee Wingfield and the late Mrs. Betty Ann Lawless Wingfield. Her last employment was as a handicap school bus driver for Cobb County School District where she would retire early due to her health issues. She was a devoted and a dedicated pastor's wife to Crossroads Memorial Baptist Church, to Mt. Zion East Baptist Church and she fulfilled her last ministry for the last 15 years as the 1st lady and a devoted, loving pastor's wife to her current church family Gospel Time Baptist Church. She loved and always put others before herself, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Her most favorite thing to do in life as a hobby was to bake cakes for all her family, friends, coworkers, doctors, and all that she met, knew her as "The Cake Lady", but her highest bakery skills would be her homemade cheese biscuits. She loved to see others happier than herself. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Wingfield, Michael Wingfield, and Bruce Wingfield. Mrs. Post is survived by her husband of over 42 years, David L. Post of Douglasville, Georgia; son, David (DJ) Joseph Post and his wife Alicia, along with her granddaughters, Abbigail and Torynn Post; daughter, Tiffany and her husband John Cabe; two sisters, Susan and Steve Fountain, Lisa Wingfield, and her brother Jeff and Wanda Wingfield, along with many nieces and nephews. She will live in our hearts as she and her husband made an agreement with each other on July 9, 1976 {Always and Forever}. They were united unto Holy Matrimony on February 16, 1979. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Friday, April 30, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Fred Blalock and Rev. Wendell King officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
