Mr. Mark Anthony Moreland, age 53 of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. He was born September 12, 1967 in Bremen, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Samuel M. Moreland and Mrs. Rugina Parham Moreland.
Mark was a graduate of Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia. Throughout his life, Mark had a reputation as a hard worker, having worked at the historic Atlanta Daily World, Piccadilly Cafeteria, European Bakers/Flowers industries, and Sunbelt Marketing Inc. Affectionately, he was known as "STAR" by his co-workers who all knew his "Ranger Danger" pulling into work every day.
With a love of sports, Mark was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, able to rattle off team stats with ease, especially ones from his favorite players: Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, and Roger Staubach. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an outstanding uncle to his nieces and nephews. When not watching the Cowboys or spending time with his family, you could find Mark working on cars (he loved Fords, especially Mustangs), perfecting his lawn, fishing, traveling, grilling, or watching TV. He loved Westerns, the Animal Planet, the ID channel, and classic shows like The Rockford Files, Speed Racer, and Sanford and Son.
Mark is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mrs. Robin Regina Moreland of Lithia Springs, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwight and Tangulia Moreland of Austell, Georgia, Marcel and Karen Moreland of Douglasville, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com. Jones-Wynn Funeral Home & Crematory of Douglasville is in charge of the arrangements. 770-942-2311
