Mrs. Marlaine Miller Clay, age 75, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. She was born March 21, 1944 in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Lovey Miller and the late Mrs. Gladys Haley Miller. Mrs. Clay worked for 39 years at the Villa Rica Hosiery Mill. She was a lifelong member of Fullerville Baptist Church for over 50 years, loved her church family, loved to travel, and loved spending time with each member of her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Mr. Ray Clay; companion of 10 years, Mr. Jim Wier.
Mrs. Clay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Anthony Winters of Villa Rica, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Melody Pruner of Temple, Georgia, Lynn and David Cole of Wedowee, Alabama; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Janice Miller of Winston, Georgia; two grandchildren, Briana and husband Wesley Culver, Brandon and wife Ivey Winters; three great grandchildren, Emma, Natalie, and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica Monday, October 14, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Steve Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
