Marsha Minter Nestlehutt

March 27, 1944 — March 14, 2025

Lithia Springs

Marsha Minter Nestlehutt, a beloved matriarch, departed this world on March 14, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on March 27, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Mr. Morris Newton Minter and the late Mrs. Dorothy Bell Minter.

A true homemaker, Marsha dedicated her life to being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her pride, and she shared more than 60 beautiful years alongside her beloved husband, Mr. Jerry Nestlehutt.

Marsha was known for her loving, kind-hearted nature. Soft-spoken yet full of spirit, she had an incredible ability to connect with others—she never met a stranger. Her social disposition was matched only by her great sense of humor. For over 20 years, she embraced her love for classic cars as a member of the 4J's and 4M's. Marsha enjoyed traveling from coast to coast in classic cars alongside Mr. Jerry and forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Her passion for community service reflected her caring spirit. Marsha was actively involved in several organizations, including Meals on Wheels, the Gift of Love, and Sweetwater Mission Inc.

Marsha had a deep admiration for nature, particularly evident in her love for animals, her adoration for plants and flowers, and the blooming beauty of spring. Her faith was integral to her life; she was a long-time member of Beulah Baptist Church before later joining Villa Rica First Baptist Church. In her church family, she found friendship and community, where her spirit thrived.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsha is preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Janet Nestlehutt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Jerry Nestlehutt; son, Bill Nestlehutt; daughter and son-in-law, Connie (Greg) Seagraves; 6 grandchildren, Lauren (Chase) Terry, Brandon Nestlehutt, Madison Seagraves, Megan (Briar) Bookout, Shelby Seagraves, and Blake Nestlehutt; 1 great-grandchild, Tucker Scott Terry; sister and brother-in-law, Faye (Terry) Bruckner; as well as extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home – Douglas Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will also take place at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home – Douglas Chapel on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Josh Shrewsberry officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
