Martha Ann Holt

Mrs. Martha Ann Brook Holt, age 83 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020. She was born January 11, 1937 in Bowdon, Georgia the daughter of the late Mrs. Andrew Vincent Brook and the late Mrs. Bessie Mae Boyd Brook. Mrs. Holt was a longtime member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, reading and cooking. She loved flowers, gardening and doing yardwork. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Holt; brothers, Lee Brook and Garland Brook; nephew, Ronald Brook. Mrs. Holt is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Anthony Rooks of Carrollton, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Uzea Brook of Tyus, Georgia; grandchildren, Daniel and Amanda Rooks of Temple, Georgia, Ken and Carla Rooks of Carrollton, Georgia; great grandchildren, Wyatt Rooks, Daemon Rooks, Beatrice Rooks; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society.
