Martha Horne

Ms. Martha Ruth Horne, age 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta. She was born December 28, 1947 in Wilson, North Carolina the daughter of the late Mr. Naman Horne and the late Mrs. Ella Louise Moore Horne. She retired as a Marine Biologist with Tyco. She was a devout member of the Douglasville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her great love was her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She listened faithfully to her audio bible. She loved playing free cell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sunetta Simon-Fox and Raymond Fox of Douglasville; sister, Annie Horne of Douglasville; brothers, Erwin Williams of North Carolina, Gerald Horne of Douglasville, and Bobby Horne of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Adrienne Simon and her fiancé, Jack Bundy, Jr. and Raymond Fox, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Ramey and Giselle Bundy; very special friends, Patricia Owens and Kathy Murphy; many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, August 9, 2013 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, August 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Elder Harold Peggau officiating.
