Martha "Jane" Rice Tidwell, age 86, passed away on July 21st, 2021 following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Noyes D. Rice and Rue Boling Rice. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Hoyt Rice and Duke Rice; her sisters, Mary Ann Donehoo and Peggy Hughes. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Joy Tidwell Smith (Bradley) and Pamela Tidwell Enloe (Lee); two granddaughters, Amanda Enloe Boyd (Rusty) and Natalie Enloe Pritchett (Dalton); one great granddaughter, Austen Louise Boyd; one soon-to-be great-grandson, Shepard Boyd; brothers, Dan Rice (Joann) and Hugh Rice; sisters, Rue Nell Pair and Judy Odom; and many nieces and nephews. Jane graduated from Southwest High School in 1954 and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. Through the years, she worked with Smith Corona Typewriter Company, Dixie Lime and Stone Company, and Noland Company, where she retired in 2000. She was a very loving, caring, and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Also, a dear sister, aunt, and friend, who was loved so much and will be so missed.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Villa Rica Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 3:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Villa Rica with Pastor Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park.
