Martha "Jo" McLendon

Martha Joenne "Jo" McLendon, age 68, of Lithia Springs, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born December 11, 1953, in Folkston, GA, daughter of the late Mr. Joe Dorsey Petty and the late Mrs. Martha Frances Veal. Jo was a self-proclaimed professional photographer. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and always said "the more, the merrier". Her favorite pastime was researching and documenting family history. Jo was one of the first female solo over the road truck drivers. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Arlene Petty. She is survived by her husband, Bobby McLendon; daughters and sons in law, Becca and Nakia Reagan of Temple, April and David Cunningham of Villa Rica; son and daughter in law, Steve and Jennifer McLendon of Temple; grandchildren, Ashley Goss, Bryson and Jax Reagan and Cole McLendon. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Reverend Mike Sinyard officiating.
