Martha Lee Latimer Capes

Mrs. Martha Lee Latimer Capes, age 88 of Temple, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020. She was born March 1, 1932 in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Mr. Hiram Willis Latimer and the late Mrs. Velma Lee Shadinger. Mrs. Capes lived in the Villa Rica and New Georgia Community. She loved going to church, singing gospel music, sewing, gardening, flowers, and cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved everyone she met. Mrs. Capes was a member of Full Gospel Church in Villa Rica. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Capes; step-mother, Minnie Robinson Latimer; son, Stephen Wayne Capes; daughter, Linda Evans; son-in-law, Andrew Collins. Mrs. Capes is survived by daughters, Brenda Collins of Temple, Georgia, Kathy Thompson and Larry Maney of Bremen, Georgia; sons, Ronnie Gary Capes of Villa Rica, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lloyd Capes; sister, Grace Warren of Bowdon, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. John George and Rev. Larry Argo officiating.
