Martha Pearl West Peppers, age 95, of Winston passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011. She was born August 22, 1915 the daughter of the late Mr. Windom West and the late Mrs. Geneva Pounds West. She worked in the food service industry as a cashier for many years and was a former member of Willingham Drive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter âDocâ Pepper; brothers, W. D. West, John W. West and Perlus West; sisters, Bessie Smith, Pauline Wynn and Florie Price. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Betty Hendrix of Winston; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen West of Palmeto; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. The interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
