Martie Paul New

Mr. Martie Paul New, 52, of Lithia Springs, Georgia , passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at Wellstar Kennestone hospital in Marietta. He was born August 14, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia; the son of Mr. Zion E. New Sr. of Arkansas, and Mrs. Clora Mae Reese Benefield of Powder Springs. Mr. New worked for G and L Marble in Winston as a dispatcher. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and he loved his wife and family immensely. Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Angela Crutchfield New of Lithia Springs, one daughter: Tiffany Painter of Lithia Springs, two sons: Shawn New of Austell and Anthony Painter of Lithia Springs; his mother, Mrs. Clora Mae Reese Benefield of Powder Springs; two sisters and brother –in-law; Judy and Aaron Beck of Temple, Carolyn Benefield of Villa Rica, five brothers and sister in laws; Gene and Brenda New of Temple, Mike and Gina New of Powder Springs, Larry and Pam New of Cummin, Ray and Ladean Benefield of Tyus, Ricky and Kelly Benefield of Dallas; and step father Mr. Milton S. Benefield of Powder Springs. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia with Rev. Danny Caldwell officiating. As the family desires cremation will follow the service. The family will be receiving friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
