Martin Jones

August 22, 1955 — February 26, 2024

Martin (Marty) Jones, age 68, of Douglasville passed away Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born August 22, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Benjamin and Virginia Jones.

Marty was a soul made for adventure.  Whether flying in the skies throughout the world as an airline attendant or his fascination with Apple products -- the bonus was always adventure.

Those who knew him well could easily imagine him walking through the doors of any of America's Top 100 companies and no doubt saying to himself, "I want a job and you'll do - for now."

Just another adventure.

Martin was known for his passion for all things technical, especially his fascination for Apple products.  Traveling to new destinations for work or vacation sparked excitement in his soul, and he cherished the experiences and memories made during those adventures.

Living life from the Midwest to the East Coast to the West Coast and finally the South.

Always with the mindset of adventure.

A significant part of Martin’s life was his late spouse Ray, who held a special place in his heart as the love of his life.  Their bond was one of deep love and understanding, enriching each other’s lives in ways only true soulmates can.

Marty Jones will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.  May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished and loved by many.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Ray; fur baby Bean, who brought warmth and companionship to his days, sisters; Dorothy Lewis, Billie Jones, as well a nephew, a niece and two great nephews.

He is survived by his sister Ethel Cash, brother Benjamin Jones, sister Renee Rogers, and sister Sandra Jones.  Marty is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

A life of technical mastery

and self-inspired complexity tied into a bow.

Well Done!
