Marva Allen

Ms. Marva Jean Small Allen, 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. She was born June 10, 1937 in Colon, Panama, the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Small and the late Mrs. Mary “Girlie” Allen Edwards. She retired from Choice Courier Systems as an Executive Assistant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Douglasville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Annaliyah Mya-Christina Allen; brothers, Martin Edwards and Bobby Small. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Hermelinda Gordon of Atlanta, Lisa Allen of Florida, Michael Allen and Rosa Drayton of Douglasville, and Christopher and Sheila Allen of Lithia Springs; sister, Dorothy Small of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Rogelio Edwards of New York and Santiago Small of Panama; seven grandchildren, Robert Edwards, Christopher Allen and his wife, Sasha, Mikia Allen, Damario Musler, Shelisa Allen, Michelle Allen, and Michael Allen; one great-grandchild, Makia Allen; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Brett DeHart officiating.
