Mrs. Mary Alice Hendrix, age 77, of Muscadine, Alabama, formerly of Carroll County, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Hendrix was born June 21, 1931 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Ulysses Jordan and the late Mrs. Sarah Louise Brannon Jordan. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of the Bethany Christian Church in Carrollton, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Garner; her brother, Charles Jordan; and her sister, Lucile Jordan. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jimmy Brown of Muscadine, Alabama; her sons and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Donna Garner of Temple and Roy Garner of Bremen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and James Cook of Temple Terrace, Florida, Wilma Henderson of College Park, Betty Smith of Villa Rica and Sarah Haywood of Hiawassee; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Brannon and Sybil Jordan of Mt. Airy, Larry Jordan of Temple, Jerry and Daphne Jordan of Winston, Robert and Ann Jordan of Villa Rica, Richard and Joyce Jordan of Ball Ground and Linda Jordan of Wedowee, Alabama; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Minister Herman Pruitt and Reverend Herbert Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
