Mary Ann Smallwood

Mrs. Mary Ann Smallwood, 63, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Smallwood was born June 7, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois; the daughter of the late Phillip La Soisa and the late Lena Rose Meli. Mrs. Smallwood worked in accounts payable at Position Independent Management in Douglasville and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, Georgia. She was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Survivors include her loving husband of sixteen years, Larry Smallwood; daughter and son in-law, Jessica and Jeff Craig of Hiram; sons and daughter in-law, John and Lisa Shannon of Dallas, and Joey Shannon of Brooklyn, NY; sister and brother in-law, Nina and Paul Montgomery of Surprise, AZ; eight grandchildren, Joseph Shannon, Alex Craig, Tyler Jones, Tyler Shannon, Logan Shannon, Allison Craig, Jacob Baker, and Cody Craig; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 12:00 PM from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, Georgia with Father Adrian C.H. Pleus officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, April 14, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.
