Mary Carden

Mrs. Mary Frances King Carden, 74, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born September 20, 1938 in Adairsville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Woodrow King and the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Green King. She worked at Commercial Bank of Douglasville for years. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow King, mother, Fannie Mae Green King Miller and stepfather, Emmett Miller. She is survived by her children, Terri and Dudley Barton of Green Cove Springs, FL, Geri and Gary Childress of Douglasville, Cliff and Teresa Brewer of Winston, and Mike Carden of Morehead City, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carrol and Pat King of Jacksonville, FL, Doyle and Debbie King of Bremen, Larry and Connie King of Fyffe, AL, and Woody and Joan King of Winston; eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Graveside Service will be conducted Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnny White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Douglasville Nursing and Rehab, 4028 Highway 5, Douglasville, GA 30135.
