Mrs. Mary Cliff Bartlett Ayers, 86, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2006. She was born January 9, 1920 in Douglasville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Luther Bartlett, Sr. and the late Mrs. Alice Thurman Bartlett. She married Marvin Allen Ayers in 1937. She was a member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Allen Ayers; son, Lewis Ayers; sisters, Lottie Doris, Lucy Smith, Nell McCoy, Viola McGuire, Frances Hallman, Eva Fields, Evelyn Rainwater, Ethel Watkins and brother, Rev. Luther Bartlett, Jr. She is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly June and Guy Wilson of Douglasville, Jessica Jo and Buddy Post of Heflin, AL, Sandra Eason of Douglasville, Beckie and Bobby Orr of Temple; one daughter-in-law, Emily Ayers of Heflin, AL; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 3:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Ikey Watson, Rev. Stephen Williams, and Rev. Moses Florence officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Ayers’ grandsons, Scott Post, Eddie Post, Max Brown, Rodney Brown, Jeff Ayers, Chad Bragg, Stephen Bragg, and Joseph Bragg with serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
