Mary Evelyn Brooks

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Brooks, 68, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Heartland Hospice in Austell. She was born August 14, 1938 in Fayette County, Georgia the daughter of the late Emmette Moore and the late Mrs. Addie Lee Marroy Moore. She married Rev. Winford Brooks December 5, 1976 in Atlanta. She was a member of God’s Way Ministries in Douglasville. She worked as a seamstress. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rev. Winford Brooks of Douglasville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Brown of Peachtree City and Charlotte and Harry Parker of Fairburn; one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Shirley Moore of Fayette County, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Ennis, Brother Steve George, and Brother Tim Cox officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Sister Mary Crews. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
