Mary Conelia Gilreath

Mary Conelia Gilreath, 71, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born on February 11, 1952. She is the daughter of the late James Fred Gilreath and the late Laura Mae Marrow Gilreath.

Mary’s happiness was spending time with her beloved family. The love she had for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds; they were truly the light of her life. One of Mary's favorite pastimes was watching television and serving as a caregiver to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Renee Gilreath; grandson, Zachary Taylor McCord; and brothers, James Foster Gilreath and Johnny Gilreath.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy McCord of Villa Rica; sisters, Beverly Higginbotham of Douglasville and Patricia Mauldin of Manchester, Tennessee; brothers, Rev. Michael Gilreath (Anita) of Carrollton; grandchildren, , Jason McCord (Jennifer Mull) Christopher McCord, Blake Jones, Tyler Jones; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Taylor; grand-daughter-in-law, Gracie McCord; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel at 3:00 PM.
