Mary Hinkle, age 103, a beloved matriarch who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on October 10, 2024. She was born on March 30, 1921, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to the late Mr. Roy Sanner and the late Mrs. Marguerite Sanner.
Mary dedicated her life to her family and a warm and welcoming haven for relatives and friends alike. As a devoted housewife, Mary was the very essence of a nurturing spirit. Known as the glue of her family, she cultivated a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her house was frequently a gathering place for family parties, where she took great pleasure in hosting events. Her good sense of humor, kindness, and warmth made everyone feel comfortable and appreciated.
Beyond her role as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, which marked her proudest accomplishments, Mary had a multitude of interests that kept her spirit vibrant. She was a passionate gardener, who enjoyed nurturing her plants and watching them flourish. Her artistic soul led her to painting, where she expressed her creativity and appreciation for beauty in the world. She was also an avid reader and embraced tai chi, discovering the harmony and tranquility it offered.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Albert Hinkle; daughter, Mary Ann Koberg.
She is survived by her daughters, Susann Norton and Pamela Jones; son, Albert Hinkle; grandchildren, Laurie Morris, Kathea Koberg, Gwyn Koberg, Amanda McCumber, Derrick Hinkle; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kyle, Skye, Rayne, Michael and Allistor; great-great grandchildren, Nicholas, KJ, Aurora, Izabel and King.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Mary Hinkle was cremated.
