Mary Jordan Sheffield

Mrs. Mary Jordan Sheffield, age 89 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, November 8, 2019. She was born August 25, 1930 in Cartersville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. William Jordan and the late Mrs. Stella Neeley Jordan Jinks. Mrs. Sheffield worked as a seamstress for Carousel Designs. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, Douglasville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion E. Sheffield; her daughter, Wanda Sheffield Johnston; her brothers, Paul Jordan, Hershel Jordan, Elbert Jordan and General Jordan; and her sister, Magdalene Stroup. Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and David Harrop of Macon; her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Sandra Sheffield of Carrollton and Wendell and Robin Sheffield of Douglasville; her sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Billy Mauldin of Powder Springs; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Patricia Jordan of Temple; eight grandchildren, Amanda Haney, Tommy Housley, Brandon Sheffield, Bronson Sheffield, Kelli Grantham, Kevin Grantham, Kyle Sheffield and D.J. Harrop; and twelve great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2:00PM at the Church of God of Prophecy, 8310 Duralee Lane, Douglasville with Bishop Larry Lowry and Bishop James Green officiating.
