Mrs. Mary Lee Hammond, 64, of Cross Plains Hulett Road, Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born September 3, 1941, in Cocolalla, Idaho. She was the daughter of the late Charles Logan and the late Bessie Ellen Hayden Logan. Mrs. Hammond was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Franklin Hammond, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Nantz of Carrollton; her son and daughter-in-law, Barry Franklin and Dawn Hammond of York, South Carolina; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Violet and Frank Reed of Yakima, Washington, Dorothy Walker of Yakima, Washington, Edith and Richard Pontow of Dalles, Oregon, Virginia and Ed Pontow of Seattle, Washington, Rosae and Don Jewitt of Yakima, Washington and Lucille and Al Domon of Vancouver, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Judy Logan of Oregon City, Oregon; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Tim Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Temple, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, January 26, 2006, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
