Mrs. Mary Lois Jones Rogers, age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. She was born February 27, 1931 in Ellijay, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Floyd Jones and the late Mrs. Bertha Viola Watkins Jones. She married Paul W. Rogers on November 1, 1952 in Ellijay, Georgia. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Rogers was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals and special treats for her beloved family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul W. Rogers on December 22, 2005; and her brothers, Willis Jones, Estes Jones, Everett Jones, and Freeman Jones. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Robbins of Dallas, Amilda âMillieâ and Kim A. Cole of Douglasville, and Tracy Rogers and Michael S. Willis of Hiram; son and daughter-in-law, Steven L. and Carol Rogers of Piedmont, AL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Minnie and Herman Jones of Nashville, TN, Frances and Fred McGill and Bertha Manning all of Ellijay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell and Imogene Jones of Ellijay, Bob and Joyce Jones of Ellijay, and Max and Shirley Jones of Jasper; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
