Mary Long

Mary Helen Bennett Long, age 93, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born July 18, 1926, the daughter of the late Mr. William Marion Bennett and the late Mrs. Lessie Lena Johnson Bennett. Mrs. Long retired from Dunn & Bradstreet after 32 years of service. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and garden. Mrs. Long enjoyed church and had a servant’s heart – always helping people with her sweet spirit. She loved to laugh, spending time with her family and especially treasured her friendships with her Magnolia Place community. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Howard Long; her son, David Long and her daughter-in-law, Julia Long. Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Marcus Graham of Alpharetta; her sister and brother-in-law, Sara Jo and James Robinson of Bowdon; four grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Long, Rachel Graham, Kelsey Graham and Hunter Graham; two great-grandchildren, Myles Long and Wylee Long; and niece, Susan Robinson and nephew, Bernard Robinson also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, September 20, 2019 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 20, 2019 at 1:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Reverend Marcus Miller officiating.
