Mary Louise Lane

Mrs. Mary Louise Lane, age 83, of 139 Pleasant Ridge Road, Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Carrollton Manor in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born July 13, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Jessie James Odom and the late Mrs. Lucy Perdue Reynolds Odom. She worked for and retired from Sewell Manufacturing after 42 years of service as a seamstress and then for Kroger for eight years. Mrs. Lane was an avid fisher and dedicated homemaker. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Villa Rica, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Levi Odom, W. V. Odom and James Odom; and her sisters, Levada Odom, Ruth Johns and Jodie New. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Amy Lane of Carrollton; her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Zelma Odom of Carrollton, Mrs. Helen Odom of Villa Rica and Mrs. Carrie Mae Odom of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Roger Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Vine Cemetery in Carroll County, Georgia.
