Mrs. Mary Lucille New Mann, 84, of Mann Road, Douglasville, GA passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Haralson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bremen, GA, after an extended illness. She was born July 14, 1921 in Paulding County, GA, the daughter of the late John Monroe New and the late Annie Jane Williams New. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant with Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Douglasville, GA and a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Everett Mann, daughter, Linda Elizabeth Mann Holder, grandson, Robbie Neil Holder, and 3 brothers, Bennett New, Herman Paul New and James Ernest New. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley & Larry C. Nixon, of Carrollton, three sons, John E. Mann of Cedartown, James E. (Jim) & Linda Mann of Douglasville, and George Tommy & Sheila Mann of Douglasville, two sisters, Annie Ruth Seymour and Faye Chambers both of Douglasville, brother and sisters-in-law, George & Evelyn New of Carrollton, and Louise New of Douglasville, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2006, 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, GA with Pastor Eddie Wyatt and Brother Tommy Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Paulding County. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Scott Holder, Kenny Holder, Joshua Mann, Travis George, Jeff George, David Hallford and Gains Middlebrooks. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Sunday, April 23, 2006, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday, April 24, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
