Mrs. Mary Margaret McBrayer Holland, age 93, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born May 17, 1923 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina to the late Coster and Alva McBrayer. She worked several years for Sears Roebuck first at the Ponce de Leon store and then in East Point. Later, she worked as an accounts payable clerk for Delta Air Lines for 30 years. She loved to travel, was one of the original Arbor Place Mall Walkers and delivered Meals on Wheels for the Douglas County Senior Services and the Lithia Springs First Baptist Church. She was a member of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church and a member of the Retired Adult Fellowship at the church as well as an officer in her Sunday School class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Barber Holland. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Morell of Lithia Springs and Barbara McRoberts of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Tommy Shaw of Newnan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. A private graveside service will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
