Mary Patricia Haynie

Mary Patricia Jeffers Haynie, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ellen Jeffers and sister of the late Charlotte J. Lawson. She was a long-time resident of Conyers and Atlanta, passed away at home August 21, 2016 just a week after her 79th birthday. Born in 1937 in Atlanta, she married the love of her life, the late William Scott Haynie, in 1958. During her early marriage, Scott and she were stationed in Germany and she enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. We all have enjoyed stories from her adventures abroad and throughout her life as she had a remarkable mind and always found humor and the silver lining even through adversity. Pat is survived by her son, William Chad Haynie, niece Elise, nephew Chris, a brother-in-law Don, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and life-long friends including Dot Walsh, Virginia Smith, Rita Gagliardone, Gwen Ray and Brenda Henderson. Family and friends were always a priority to her as she always showered us with love, remembering birthdays, anniversaries with calls, cards and gifts. A graveside service officiated by Reverend Matt Jordan, will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was very giving to multiple charities and in lieu of flowers, please feel free to honor her by a gift in her name to a charity of choice.
