Mary Reba Warren Hembree was born November 24, 1925 and died July 6, 2008.Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Winnie House Warren and Robert Warren of Cornelia, Georgia and a sister, Winnie Blanch Warren Stedronsky of Cleveland, Ohio. Reba is survived by her husband of sixty years, Guy Washington Hembree of Villa Rica; her son, Dan Hembree and spouse, Trini Hembree of Villa Rica; and two daughters, Becky Roberts and spouse, Tommy Roberts of Blackshear, Georgia; and Nancy Mayfield and spouse Envard Mayfield of Buchanan, Georgia. She has five grandchildren, Angelo Hembree, Arnold Hembree and spouse, Aine Hembree, Merce Hembree Whitmire and spouse Jason Whitmire, Erich Mayfield and spouse Martha, Heather Mayfield George and spouse, Kevin; great grandchildren, Robin, Kyle, McKenzie, Joshua, December, and Brent. Reba was a faithful Christian, a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a homemaker, a piano and music teacher, a legal secretary, and church pianist. Reba loved children and was a foster parent to many children. Reba loved the Lord and loved her church. She believed God gave her the talent to play the piano and she started young. She played the piano for funerals when she was only nine years old. She taught music and piano at Winston Elementary school before it was required to have a music degree. She has taught many children how to play the piano and she was the pianist at Flat Rock Baptist Church for over thirty years. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM from Flat Rock Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Brown and Dr. Wayne Jenkins officiating. Mrs. Hembree will lie in state at the church from 2:30 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Glenn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carroll County Alzheimer’s Association or Tanner Hospice. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com. Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica is in charge of arrangements.
