Mary Rosetta Akins

Mrs. Mary Rosetta Akins, 77, of Rainey Road, Temple, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born April 28, 1928, in Guntersville, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late William Nesbitt Nesmith and the late Ida Parker Nesmith. Mrs. Akins was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Akins was preceded in death by her first husband, Bura C. Keener; her brothers, Howard Nesmith, Bunk Nesmith and Ray Nesmith; and her sisters, Wilred Birdswell and Clara Caudell. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Roy Yearty of Temple; her grandchildren, Dulcie and Steve Powell and Jim Yearty; her great-granddaughter, Ansley Powell; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Wendell Rush officiating. Interment will follow on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Cemetery in Gallant, Alabama.
