Mrs. Mary Jane Sadowsky, age 74, of Douglasville, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born June 11, 1949 in Pittsuburgh, PA to the late Mr. Mario DiCecco and the late Mrs. Derna DiCecco.
Mary Jane was a woman known for her warm heart and accepting nature. She had an unwavering love for her family, especially her grandkids. Mary Jane's compassion extended beyond her family to everyone she met. She embraced people from all walks of life with open arms, making them feel seen and accepted. One of Mary Jane's greatest loves in life was elephants. She found solace in the majestic presence of these gentle giants.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Louis Marshall Sadowsky; son in law, Rodney James.
She is survived by daughter, Melissa James of Temple; sons, Stephen (Christa) Sadowsky of Temple, Brian (Pamela) Sadowsky of Temple; special caretaker/daughter, Janet Gilbert of Douglasville; sister, Diane Pizzuto of Pitcarin, PA; brother, John DiCecco of Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Cole Davis, Mackenzie Sadowsky, Sydney Sadowsky, Chloe Sadowsky, Jeffery Sadowsky; great grandchild, Oliver Davis; honorary grandchildren, Kelsi Mcgouirk, Kaci Mcgouirk; a special little blessing, Ja'Sean Sears; and her beloved dog Snowy.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Chaplain Sam Braswell officiating. The inurnment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.
