Mary Shadrix

Mrs. Mary Helen Rowe Shadrix, age 70, of Temple, passed away, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born May 16, 1946 in Carrollton the daughter of the Mrs. Helen Lee Rowe and the late Mr. Billy Sharp Rowe. Mrs. Shadrix worked for Southwire as a Program Planner for many years and later worked for Polaroid where she retired as an Order Processor. She loved to cook, gardening, Southern Gospel Music and singing at church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Carl Shadrix whom she married January 30, 1981. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Alea Shadrix of Carrollton; mother, Mrs. Helen Lee Rowe of Villa Rica, sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jim Elser of Marietta; brother, Frank Rowe of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Luke Shadrix, Jacob Shadrix, and Colt Shadrix; Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, January 13, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Ollie Shadrix and Brother Ken Bowman officiating.
