Mrs. Mary Shierling Hannah, age 83, of Laurel Street, Bremen, Georgia passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 7, 1925 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Leek Shierling and the late Mrs. Maggie Akin Shierling. Mrs. Hannah was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Childrenâs Sunday School Class for over 20 years and enjoyed working with the GAâs. Mrs. Hannah was an example of a Proverbs 31 woman devoting herself to her family. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hannah worked outside the home at Hubbardâs for 12 years and later at Warren Sewellâs for 14 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred E. and Etta Hannah Shierling, James Henry and Alma Shierling; and sister, Alma Shierling Hale. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Ray Ivy Hannah of Bremen; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda H. and Ken Kessler of Kingsland; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Deborah Hannah of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Karen and Michael Smith of Kentucky, Kyle Kessler and Kistin Halloran of Georgia, Kurt and Leah Kessler of Tennessee and Meredith Hannah of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. Grover Tyner and Rev. Dennis Hale. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Kessler, Kurt Kessler, Larry Cooper, Ken Kessler, Michael Smith and Dennis Hale. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
