Mary Shoemaker

Mary LaJuana Shoemaker, 59, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1964, the daughter of LaJuana Joyce Hayes and the late Larry Earl Lanton.

Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and has never met a stranger. She worked for four years as a truck driver and loved it.  She could talk for hours about all of her journeys and experiences that she had on the road. Mary enjoyed prepping to live off of the grid, spending time with her dogs, listening to music, and shopping. 

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, James E. Williams, Jr.; step-fathers, James E. Williams, Sr., and Arthur E. Hayes, Sr., and grandson, Thomas Wade Shoemaker III.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Wade Shoemaker, II and Krista; daughter, Christina LaJuana Shoemaker; sisters and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Colin Hutchinson, Tracy Harden, Debra Ann Bundrum and Kolby Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Wendy Lanton; six grandchildren, Christian Shoemaker, Cheyenne Shoemaker, Lily Shoemaker, Leila Shoemaker, Kingsley Morgan, and Jaxtyn Morgan; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Timothy Wade; three special fur babies, Mr. Bud, Duck Duck and Boo Boo.

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. There are no further arrangements at this time.
