Mrs. Mary Louise Hulsey Turner, age 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was born August 1, 1934 in Douglasville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Grover Roosevelt Hulsey and the late Mrs. Myrtle Florene Watts Hulsey. Over the years, she had worked as a boarder and spinner for Shamrock Hosiery Mill, Douglasville Spinning Mill and Sam’s Spinks. She enjoyed working at Franklin Road Flea Market and spending time with her many friends at the flea market. She loved collecting dolls. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Traylor; grandchild, Jennifer Wilson; one great-grandchild, Krista Nicole Smith; sisters, Hazel and Jean. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eugene Talmadge Turner of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Scott Simpson of Dallas, Ann and John Bradley of Villa Rica, and Debbie and Colin Brooks of Douglasville; sisters, Evelyn Kelly of Dallas, Mattie Henslee of Winston, Bessie and Larry Henslee of Villa Rica, and Virginia and Ben Adams of Douglasville; brothers, Dean Hulsey of Douglasville and Bill and Marie Hulsey of Villa Rica; eight grandchildren, Patty Hicks, Sandy Bivins, Joseph Bradley, Sarah Napper, Joshua Johnson, Shannon Haynes, Adam Simpson, and Christina Cullen; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Brother Jimmy Elzey officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia with the following serving as pallbearers: Joseph Bradley, Keith Brown, Austin Bivins, Justin Whitaker, Joshua Johnson and Shannon Haynes.
