Mary Waskiewicz

Mrs. Mary (Rys) Waskiewicz, age 90, a lifelong resident of Fall River, MA, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 in Douglasville, Georgia following a short illness. She was the widow of the late Theodore Waskiewicz. She was born August 15, 1920 in Fall River, MA the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Rys and the late Mrs. Veronica (Kula) Rys. She was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. Mrs. Waskiewicz enjoyed baking, reading, traveling, and playing with the family dog, Sammy. She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Waskiewicz and her husband, Steven Flora of Douglasville, GA. She was the sister of Thadeus Rys of Meriden, Connecticut and the late Walter Rys, Sophie Silvia, Stanley Rys, Frank Rys, William Rys, and Matthew Rys. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
