Maureen Causey MeeksMrs. Maureen Causey Meeks, age 84, of Villa Rica, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell. She was born October 27, 1928 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Gordon Causey and the late Mrs. Cora Alvin Williams Causey. She worked and retired from Villa Rica Hosiery Mill after many years. She was a long time member of Fullerville Baptist Church.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Meeks; brother, Tom Causey; sisters, Ora Pritchard, Verdie Mae Keith, Nora Lee Wheeler, Sara Martin and Ruth McElroy.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Meeks Hopkins and her husband, Ronald Hopkins of Greensboro, Linda Joyce Matthews and her husband, Matt Matthews of Dallas, Vanessa Carol Meeks of Atlanta; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Ariail of Dallas, Rev. Brian and Jody Haney of Rossville, Jason and Brittany Haney of Winston; 8 great-grandchildren, Kelsie Brantley of Dallas, Emily Grace Haney of Rossville, Chandler Dylon Haney of Winston, Allyson Taylor Haney of Rossville, Brittlyn Michelle Ariail of Dallas, Noah Chase Haney of Rossville, Luke Christian Ariail of Dallas, and Olivia Kate Haney of Winston; one great-great grandchild, Braxton Lane Carter of Dallas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 26, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Haney and Rev. Michael Causey officiating. Interment will follow at Glenn Memorial Park. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
