Mederith Tumlin

Ms. Mederith Sue Burnley Tumlin, age 83, of Temple, passed away, Saturday, January 23, 2016. She was born December 9, 1932 in Aragon, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Raymond Steven Burnley and the late Mrs. Minnie Sue Love Burnley. Ms. Tumlin loved working in the yard, getting together with friends to do crafts, baking her sweets, watching soaps, and most of all loved her family and life in general.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Bearden.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Larry Whitfield of Villa Rica; brothers, Doyce Burnley of Mableton, Floyd Burnley of Mableton; grandchildren, Shelly and Michael Moreland, Philip and Whitney Whitfield, Trenton and Stephanie Whitfield; great-grandchildren, Blake Hunter, Brett Hunter, Caleb Hunter, Cason Hunter, Laney Whitfield, and Tanner Whitfield; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday, January 25, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Mr. Chris Thompson officiating.
