Melba Dobbs

Mrs. Melba Ann Williams Dobbs, age 77, of Villa Rica, passed away, Tuesday, May 7, 2019. She was born December 29, 1941 in Villa Rica, GA the daughter of the late Mr. J. Clarence Williams and the late Mrs. Mary Edna Helton Williams. Mrs. Dobbs was a homemaker. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica Sunshine Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Dobbs on June 13, 2004; brother, Jimmy Williams; sister, Hilda Boutwell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marvin and Helen Dobbs, A. C. Dobbs, Randy Dobbs, and Clara Dobbs. Survived by her grandson, Ryan Jared Dobbs, the light of her life, and his mother, Monica Dobbs; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Wilma Williams of Carrollton; sister-in-law, Carolyn Williams of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Jerry Boutwell of Villa Rica; son, Casey Dobbs of Villa Rica; sisters –in-law, and brothers-in-law, Sybil Herron, Denise and Gerald Criswell, Peggy and Lamar Hembree, and A. J. Dobbs; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Thursday, May, 9, 2019 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Powell.
