Michael Barfield

Mr. Michael Hansel Barfield, age 28, of Bremen, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011. He was born June 7, 1983 in Douglasville, Georgia the son of Rebecca “Becky” Anne McBurnett. He worked as a cook for Pizza Hut and was a member of the House of Prayer in Douglasville. He graduated from the Douglasville Citizen Police Academy and volunteered for the Share House. He loved animals and was a talented musician. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Evie Baxter. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Ann “Becky” McBurnett of Bremen; sisters, Victoria Bidez and Kristin Bell; brothers, David Purinton, Barry Grindle, Justin Lochamy; Joe Perez, Chad Whitley and Brian Purinton; his second parents, Mike and Margo Holland; adopted mom, Barbara Williams; one nephew, Jeremy Grindle; two nieces, Katelyn Lochamy and Natalie Grindle; special friend, Charlene Denton; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the House of Prayer in Douglasville with Rev. Wendell Cooper and Rev. Frances George officiating. The body was cremated.
