Michael "Mike" Jay Pafford

Mr. Michael "Mike" Jay Pafford, age 67 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born December 8, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of the late Mr. Jay Edward Pafford and the late Mrs. Nancy Kathryn Meacham Dowler. Mr. Pafford loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren, along with his close friends and neighbors. He enjoyed deer hunting, going to his deer camp, taking trips to the beach and lake. He loved to tinker with his cars. Mr. Pafford was of the Christian faith. Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mrs. Sherry Pafford of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jesse Martin of Douglasville, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Allison Pafford of Fort Worth, Texas, and Scott Bowlden of Dallas, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Montie Pafford of Arley, Alabama; mother-in-law, Norene Woodruff of Fayetteville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Reagan, Gavin, Laina; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Friday, August 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Dr. Keith Stell officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital at. www.stjude.org., or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at www.choa.org.
