Michael Spivey

Mr. Michael Cowles Spivey, age 68 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019. He was born May 4, 1950, the son of Mr. Wilbur Cowles Spivey and the late Frances Lucille Spivey. Mr. Spivey, a master musician and guitarist extraordinaire, loved Jesus, his family, friends, and traveling, especially out west with his wife. In partnership with his brother David, they continued the legacy of their father’s business, AAA Screen and Window, which was started in 1959. Mike faithfully used his musical talent at local churches and community events.He is survived by his wife, Linda Leigh Spivey of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Melissa Holmes of Grady, Alabama; son and fiancé, Matt Spivey and Priscilla Johnson of Panama City, Florida; father, Wilbur Cowles Spivey of Hampton, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sandra Spivey of Mableton, Georgia, David and Faith Spivey of Fayetteville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jessica and Hudson Holmes, Madison Spivey; one great grandchild, McKenzie Holmes; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at The Church of Chapel Hill Commons Area Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM immediately followed by a memorial service in the chapel upstairs with Mr. Phil Powell officiating.
