Michael Edward Tanner

Michael Edward Tanner, 66, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born on August 21, 1956. He is the son of the late Edward E. Tanner and the late Shirley Daugherty Tanner.

He was a graduate of West Georgia College and later Emory University, earning his Master’s degree. He worked as an R.N. for many years, retiring in 2021 from State of Georgia Department of Community Health.

Mr. Tanner was a caregiver at heart, caring not only for both of his parents during their illnesses and passing; but caring for those in the community as well.

Mr. Tanner loved to travel. He especially enjoyed traveling to Paris in the spring and had looked forward to a trip later this year.

He is survived by several cousins.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Tanner was cremated. Private services will be held at a later date.
