Michael Thomas Rice

Michael "Mike" Thomas Rice, 52, of Dahlonega passed away on June 18, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1969. He is the son of David Orville Rice, Sr. and the late Genevieve Margie Coggins Rice. Mike was a loving and devoted father and husband. He attended Haywood Community College in Clyde, North Carolina, where he received his nursing degree. Nursing was his passion. He was part of the Covid-19 rapid response team in New York City. He enjoyed traveling and boating on Lake Sinclair, but his top priority in life was spending time with "his girls." In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his loving mother in law Mamie Darlene Hamilton. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Allison Rice; his beloved daughter, Gracelyn Rice; father, David Orville Rice, Sr.; brothers, David Orville Rice, Jr. of Hickory, North Carolina and Paul Andrew Rice of Arizona; brothers in law Michael Bagwell (Mallory) and Casey Tillman (Cristy) several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The following will serve as pallbearers; Michael Bagwell, Parker Tillman, Preston Tillman, Paul Rice, David Rice, Jr., Keith Juhl.
