Mildred Baker

Mrs. Mildred Baker, 92, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her home. She was born April 1, 1925 in Canton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Christopher Columbus Brookshire and the late Mrs. Oshie Bruce Brookshire. She married Robert Lee Baker, Sr. on August 17, 1945 in Bellingham, Washington. She was a homemaker. She was well known for her cake baking. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Lithia Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee baker Sr.; son, Dr. Robert Lee Baker, Jr.; five sisters; and five brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Dana Sylvia Baker of Lithia Springs, GA; one brother, Auby Brookshire; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM. Graveside Services will be conducted Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
