Mildred Bridges

Mrs. Mildred Waddell Bridges, age 78, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. A native of Temple, she was born July 11, 1933 the daughter of the late Mr. John William Waddell and the late Mrs. Ruby Jackson Waddell. She was a homemaker and a member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Duran Bridges, Jr. on July 30, 2004; her son, Tim Bridges; her grandson, Tony Bridges, Jr.; and brother, Billy Waddell. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold Anthony “Tony” and Anita Bridges of Roopville; sisters and brother-in-law, Mavis Henson of Temple and Jean and Buck Jones of Bremen; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Terri and Todd Atkins of Bremen and Kerri Jo and Matt Masich of Villa Rica; one grandson, Timothy Bridges of Bremen; one step grandson and his wife, Jason and Natalie Blanks of Carrollton; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. A.M. Ballenger officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremen with the following serving as pallbearers: Todd Atkins, Jim Henson, Kenneth Waddell, Johnny Waddell, Jeff Jones, Alan Hales, Randy Perren and Nathan Forrister.
