Mrs. Mildred Lusk Bryant, age 88, of Atlanta, Douglasville, and Johns Creek, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016. She was born August 21, 1927 in Scottsboro, Alabama, the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Herbert Lusk and the late Mrs. Don Proctor Lusk. She worked for World Book Encyclopedias for more than 30 years, and was also a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She was a member of West Metro Church of God and served as a Sunday School teacher in her various churches for more than 60 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick Marshall Bryant and sisters, Erlene Bohannon and Mary Lou Bellamy. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Pamela Corley Bryant of Duluth, one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Bryant Copeland and her husband, Rick of Marietta, sisters, Vada Pickett of Texas, Mavis Miller of Tennessee, Reva Holt and Wilma George, both of Alabama, and brothers, W.H. Lusk of Alabama and Andrew âNewtieâ Lusk of Tennessee. She is also survived by grandchildren: Dr. Brittany Bryant Polat and husband, Ali Polat, Corley Bryant and wife, Dr. Christy Bryant, Lexie Bryant, Lenora Bryant, Paul Copeland and wife, Alissa Copeland, and Kay Copeland, as well as five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. Garry Tanner officiating.
