Mildred Garner

Mrs. Mildred Marie Garner Conaway Garner, age 84, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.She was born April 11, 1928 in Boaz, Alabama the daughter of the late Mr. William Roy Garner and the late Mrs. Minnie Pullen Garner. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vallace D. Conaway; her second husband, Thomas A. Garner; sisters, Helen Williams and Doris White; and brothers, Cecil Garner, John Troy Garner and John Padgett. She is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Cliff Sanders, Donna and Michael Johnson, Diane and Tony Gordon, and Verma and Gene Bradley all of Temple; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Gail Conaway of Temple; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Tom Berkemeier of Pisgah, Alabama; six grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Renee Johnson of Buford, Christina Johnson of Temple, Brittany Gordon and Brandi Gordon of Temple, Ginger and John Dufour of Temple, Clay and Kim Conaway of Alabama; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Gordon and Rev. Travis Prichard officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens, Christus Garden in Villa Rica. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jamie Hulsey, Matthew Johnson, Clay Conaway, Larry Mann, Bo Steele and Johnny Hulsey.Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
