Mildred "Muddy" Opal Mayfield Brown

Mrs. Mildred “Muddy” Opal Mayfield Brown, 52, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007. Mrs. Brown was born February 27, 1955 in Paulding County, Georgia; the daughter of the late Hershell Mayfield and the late Bessie Richards Mayfield. Mrs. Brown was an employee of Flying J in Temple and was a member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Sines of Buchanan; son, Gerald Veitch of Alexander City, Alabama; sisters and brother in-law, Shirley Simpson of Bremen, and Janie and Jerry Tillery of Villa Rica; brothers, Jerry Mayfield of Temple, and Wendell Mayfield of Cumming; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM from New Brooklyn Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McNeese officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Powder Springs. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
